We left a day early to avoid any possibility of missing plane to Egypt. Friday consisted of frantic packing followed by hurry-up-and-wait. Our flight from Cleveland to JFK was delayed. On arrival at JFK, we found we had to haul ourselves and our luggage across two streets, up a long ramp, and over a bridge in the pouring rain, to the JFK Airtrain, to get to the single “rallying point” for hotel limo-vans. Irritating, but not a real problem. We checked into the Jamaica Holiday Inn and slept.
