Day 11: The Colossi of Memnon

This was really one of those "pull up, off the bus, take pictures, back on the bus" experiences: here is the photographic record of our fifteen minutes at the Colossi of Memnon.







What's funny is that you couldn't step far enough back to get both of them in the same frame! (Unless you have one of those Advantix cameras or something.) They're actually statues of Amenhotep III, Tutahkhamun's grandfather, and they frame the place where the entrance to his mortuary temple was.
