Once I'd had a look at the "Harmony Halls", I strolled around on the triple terrace for a few minutes.
It's a great vantage point to look around from - the ocean of yellow roofs has a timeless feel since few of Beijing's modern highrises are visible. It's almost like you're back in the Emperor's time and you are standing on the highest point in Beijing.
Except for the scaffolding.
While wandering around up there, I was charmed to discover this little well,
delicately roofed with imperial yellow roof tiles, complete with roof guardians of its own and all the little decorative touches to make it match with its surroundings.
